About The Artist: Brian was born, and grew up in Birmingham. The two great passions in his life at that time were art and design, and cars. He decided to follow art as a profession and studied graphic design at Birmingham College of Art in the late sixties.

Since 2009 BMW has invited Brian to paint the main illustration for the highly prestigious Villa d'Este Concorso d'Eleganza held annually on the shores of Lake Como in northern Italy. Brian also illustrates the Yearbook that records the event, and includes paintings of each of the 55 participating cars.
